Are people blind,
or just impervious to the situation?
I want you to read along with this, and I will provide some definitions
of a few words...
A hoax is an attempt to trick an audience into believing that
something false is real. Generally there is some material object
involved, which is actually a forgery.
Unlike a fraud or con (which usually has an audience of one or a few),
which are made for illicit financial or material gain, or a fraud which
is perpetrated to support a false religion, a hoax is often perpetrated
as a practical joke with a humorous intent, to cause embarrassment, for
personal aggrandizement or to serve political
purposes.
Look it up for yourself.
A lie is a statement made by someone who believes or
suspects it to be false, in the expectation that the hearers may
believe it. Thus a true statement may be a lie if the speaker thinks it
is false. Fictions, though false, are not lies. Depending on
definitions, a lie can be a genuine falsehood or a selective truth, a lie by omission,
or even the truth if the intention is
to deceive or to cause an action not in the listener's interests.
To lie is to tell a
lie. A person who tells a lie, and especially a person who
habitually tells lies, is a liar.
Look it up for yourself.
If you are to take those two words at
face value, along with their
intended meanings and definitions, you might have you ask yourself two
simple questions : Is the president guilty of a hoax? Is the president
guilty of lying? If you can honestly tell me in the last two years that
he is not guilty of either, I would have to say you are deaf, blind,
and dumb... and I'm not generally one to start "calling names". I
am absolutely stunned and amazed that he is still in office today, and
that he can sit there day after day... smile, and continute this
Charade (which by the way means : movements that are meant to trick or
deceive.) and continually get away with it.
The Downing Street Memo,
official minutes of a 2002 meeting between British Prime Minister Tony
Blair, members of British intelligence MI-6 and various members of the
Bush administration, notes that MI-6 director Richard Dearlove said,
“Bush wanted to remove Saddam, through military action, justified by
the conjunction of terrorism and WMD. But the intelligence and facts
were being fixed around the policy.”
I know you've read it, I know you understand it's contents. I'm not
going to over-elaborate on all of the lies
leading up to the war, or
provide any of the statements your own government has issued you
concerning Iraq. I'm not even going to point out that the mainstreem
media (FAUX, CNN and the likes) have basically whitewashed the
story... I just want to ask you one simple question.
What are you going
to do about it?
Congress, which should be renamed to useless,
was off investigating Steroid
usage... In major Leage Baseball. If that is their top priority,
when 1600+ Americans have died, the reason for the invasion has been
proven false, and turning, essientially the rest of the world away in
anger from America, then we have a bigger problem on our hands. There
is a bit of good news though, "Congress today conducted an under cover
investigation of steroids in baseball. Their conclusion -- the Chicago
Cubs are just months away from getting nuclear weapons." Thank god we
found that out huh?
Yeah... good joke and all, but I'm not laughing about the real
situation at hand. The parents of the 1600 dead aren't laughing.
The anti-war movement and websites that have raised all these questions
(most of them since 2003) aren't laughing. They want some real
answers, some real facts, and some REAL accountability... and I can
only hope through all their pain and suffering at the hands of these
lies... that they one day get justice served.
The media isn't holding anyone to account for anything - they've
proven that with their silence, but there is one shining light in the
voice of truth, and they are losing their viewers. If Americans truly
want to know what's actually going on in the thought process of every
day americans maybe they should read what every day Americans write
every day on million of websites. Any idiot can repeat "officials
sources say" and the "Bush Administration said" - Why don't you ask a
mother who's LOST a son in Iraq what she thinks.
"Anyone
with even a rudimentary understanding of current events understands
that this invasion/occupation of Iraq was not about Saddam being a "bad
guy." If that logic is used, then how many innocent Iraqi people have
to die before the citizens of America wake up and know that our
government is a "bad guy?" We also know that Iraq was not about WMD’s.
They weren’t there and they weren’t going to be there for at least a
decade, by all reports. Another reason, so wispy and more difficult to
disprove, is that America invaded Iraq to bring freedom and democracy
to the Iraqi people. When one tries to dispute this particular
deception, one is accused of being unpatriotic or hating freedom. Even
though correct, the statement "Freedom isn’t Free" is very insulting to
me. False freedom is very expensive. Fake freedom costs over one
billion of our tax dollars a week; phony freedom has cost the Iraqi
people tens of thousands of innocent lives; fanciful freedom has meant
the destruction of a country and its infrastructure. Tragically, this
fabricated notion of freedom and democracy cost me far more than I was
willing to pay: the life of my son, Casey. The Lie of Historic
Proportions also cost me my peace of mind; I do not feel free and I do
not feel like I live in a democracy."
...
"It is time to put partisan politics behind us to do what is correct
for once and reclaim America’s humanity. It is time for Congress and
the American people to work together in peace and justice to rid our
country of the stench of greed, hypocrisy, and unnecessary suffering
that permeates our White House and our halls of Congress. It is time to
hold someone accountable for the carnage and devastation that has been
caused. As a matter of fact, it is past time, but it is not too late."
I don't know what else to tell you except open your eyes ladies and
gentelman. War is only a cowardly escape from the
problems of peace and truth.I just wish with all my heart there was
some way to make the situation disappear, to undo all the things gone
terribly wrong... if she can say with her heart that it's not too late,
thats proof positive for me that more can be done.
